A Friday night spent watching live local music and dance acts and enjoying desserts from local restaurants. Who wouldn’t want to attend? An Evening of DECAdence gives everyone that chance.
An Evening of DECAdence will take place on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. in the First Flight High School Auditorium. The event, which is a variety show, will feature student, teacher, and local adult acts. There will be desserts and coffee during intermission and after the show.
The event is sponsored by the First Flight High School DECA chapter and RPC Contracting. Tickets will be available for $5 at the door. The desserts for sale will be provided by Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern, The Red Sky Cafe and The Good Life Gourmet. Coffee will be provided by Front Porch Cafe.
All proceeds from the event go to the Community Care Clinic of Dare County. The Community Care Clinic of Dare County is a non-profit medical care clinic that provides healthcare to citizens of Dare County.
The event is run by seniors Megan Parker and Wesley Rawles and they will be presenting it in the Community Service Project section at the state DECA conference in March.
“Wes and I have put in a lot of work for this variety show and we hope to make a lot of money for the Community Care Clinic of Dare,” Parker said. “I thank all who participated in helping this night happen. Please come out and support”
