The 12th annual First Flight High School talent show will take place on Friday (Feb. 26) at 6:30 in the auditorium. Admission for everyone is $5. This year will also boast cash prizes for the top three places: $100 for first, $75 for second, and $50 for third. This year’s 13 acts will range from song and dance to other specialty acts.

With 13 years of dance experience, sophomore Mattie Huband will take the stage with a dance trio.

“The talent show this year is really good there’s a lot of different acts that are all unique and super high energy that will definitely get the crowd pumped,” Huband said.

Senior Christian Davis performed in the talent show last year and this year will be hosting as an emcee along with fellow seniors Michelle Hall, Sam Weybright and Kelly Weisbecker.

“People should come out to see the talent show because it’s just going to be a great night to remember,” Davis said.

After always performing in the show, Davis believes that hosting will take on a whole new aspect and is excited for Friday’s performance.

“This is my first year hosting, so I think it will be a different experience than just performing in it,” Davis said.

After two years of performing in the talent show, junior Nicole Castano has decided to watch the talent show instead of starring in it.

“I would always be full of anxiety before performing, but after I would feel overjoyed that it was over,” Castano said. “This year, I just wanted to watch my friends perform and take part in being an audience member.”

This year’s show promises to be an impressive showcase of the talents of the student body.  It is also one of the biggest boosters for the Fine Arts programs, so make sure to come out and support your classmates.
