CAUTION: This review of season two contains spoilers if you haven’t watched season one yet!

In both seasons of the Netflix original series “You,” the audience is forced into rooting for the bad guy, Joe Goldberg. If you’ve seen season one, then you know Joe – the man who is so obsessed with love he would go to any extreme to make sure he gets the one he loves away from “danger” and, most importantly, all to himself.
Usually, while watching a show or movie which involves a killer, you hate them. But that’s not the case with Joe, who is brilliant at hiding the fact that he’s a sadist. In season one, we follow the story of Joe and Guinevere Beck, an inseparable couple, deeply in love. However, it doesn’t take Beck long to figure out who Joe is. Once she becomes suspicious and Joe realizes she knows, he kills her and is forced to move away and go into hiding.
And that’s where season two begins. We meet the “new and improved” Joe, better known as Will Bettleheim (his new, stolen identity), and Los Angeles’ newest resident.
L.A. is a great place to hide and an even greater place to fall in love. In this season, Will tries to avoid falling for anyone again. But he doesn’t make it far once he meets a girl, ironically named Love.
Unfortunately for her, he becomes instantly obsessed and falls for her.
After meeting a girl, Will instantly manipulates them into falling in love with him. He comes across as the perfect boyfriend and is weirdly good at hiding his secrets. It doesn’t take Love long to fall in love with Will, and that’s where the trouble begins.
The suspense that this show keeps you in is crazy. At all moments your heart will be racing as you watch, waiting to see if Will’s secrets will be revealed. You will always be wondering what will happen next, and it’s never what you expect.
Follow Will and Love through this dark story, filled with murder, love and lots of plot twists. “You” will have you on the edge of your seat, watching episode after episode until you’re wondering where your day went.
